Pricing Announced for All-New British Built Vauxhall Astra
UK car maker Vauxhall has announced pricing information for its soon to be launched all-new Astra. The medium-size family car is slated to appear in showrooms this October, with prices starting at £15,295 on the road.
The new model, built at Vauxhall’s manufacturing plant in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire, is claimed to be up to £2,200 less expensive than the outgoing model thanks to a simplified range. The new Astra line-up includes Design, Tech Line, Energy, SRi and Elite, with Nav versions of the SRi and Elite trims also available.
Range highlights include the firm’s new 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbo ecoFLEX model priced from £15,995 on-the-road. With an Easytronic five-speed automatic transmission, the same model achieves 96g/km CO2 emissions.
The range-topping 1.6-litre, 200 horsepower model is available in SRi trim priced from £20,435 on-the-road. The diesel offering includes the company’s 1.6-litre ‘Whisper Diesel’ model (prices start at £17,495 on-the-road) that achieves a claimed 91.1mpg and a provision CO2 emissions rating of 82g/km.
